About
An educational project on land and land-to-water fluxes.
About this site
Terrestrial Flux is an educational project about how carbon and nitrogen move through land ecosystems, soils and the waters that drain them. It aims to explain the main flows in plain language, show how large they are relative to each other, and point readers to the original science.
Who writes it
The site is written by Neil Beckwith, MSc in Ecosystem Biogeochemistry. More about Neil: neilbeckwith.net.
Approach
- Cautious. Figures are given as the sources state them, with ranges and uncertainty where given.
- Traceable. Every number links to its source; see Sources.
- Plain language. Written for curious non-specialists, students and teachers.
